Part one of a two-part podcast.

I had Star York on the back in December and we had a great chat that went long enough that I decided to make it a two-part interview. Star York is an amazing sculptor and an interesting human being. It's a fun podcast because you get the sense of how full of life and joy Star is and how it translates into her sculptures. When you see her bronzes, you'll see the curiosity and the fun that comes through, especially with her horse and animal sculptures.

Star also creates Native American sculptures and we discover how she came to the southwest and get to hear her story of growing up in Maryland but really finding herself, her creative spirit, and her place of refuge in Santa Fe in the 1980s. There are a lot of people that find that place - whether it's Santa Fe, Tucson, or anywhere for that matter - that they really just fall in love and immediately go "I should have been here from day one."
