I thought you might enjoy my Zoom interview with David Meikle recorded for our virtual opening for Desert Elements. This event took place on December 4, 2020, and shows David's new body of work featuring recognizable imagery encountered during his travels across the southwest.
Meikle created the images that are seen on the "Welcome to Utah" billboards found at all major entry points to the state. His paintings are included in the permanent collections of the Springville Museum of Art and Salt Lake County, as well as many private and corporate collections. In 2011 David was named by the Springville Museum of Art as one of Utah's 100 "Most Honored" artists.
